Julia Towers
Bio:
Julia was born and raised in Oakville, Ontario. Having been involved in various sports over the years, she experienced her own personal injuries where Physiotherapy played a key role in her recovery.
Julia graduated with her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo followed by a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University. After graduating, she worked at a private practice clinic in Ontario before moving to Red Deer.
Julia has a strong interest in orthopaedics and has completed her level 1 manual therapy certification through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She has also been certified in Functional Dry Needling (FDN) and is on the Physiotherapy Alberta needling roster (also known as IMS). She values ongoing education to expand her skills and best serve her clients. She would love to partner with you no matter what your stage of life or injury!
Julia values patient-centred care and helping people reach their goals through a blend of manual therapy and exercise-based approaches. Using the most recent evidence, her goal is to help you understand your injury and gain the tools you need in order to get back to what you enjoy most!
When not at the clinic, you can find Julia outdoors hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, or being active with friends.
