Curtis Bouliane

Bio:

Curtis Bouliane MScPT

Registered Physiotherapist / Clinic Director / Clinic Owner

Curtis is the driving force behind the expansion of Pro Motion Clinic to Calgary Alberta. He was driven by the Rockies, the weather, and the opportunity to bring an established clinic with a patient-first mindset to a new city. Curtis has brought together some of the nation’s top progressive clinicians to form Pro Motion Calgary.

Curtis’ passion for sports and the outdoors led him to his career in physiotherapy. At the age of 20, Curtis’ football career was cut short by a shoulder injury and required 2 surgeries to repair it. Over the years of waiting for surgery, Curtis became a quick study in the world of prehab and postoperative rehab. His career path snowballed towards physio after that time

Curtis emphasizes the importance of movement as medicine at all stages of injury recovery or maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. He is steadfast in his mission to identify the key factors in any patient’s condition and devise a plan on how to tackle each of these issues. Exercise that the patient actually enjoys doing, whether it be structured or informal, is always a staple in his treatment approach. Curtis has worked with a wide variety of patient age groups and presentations in his spectrum of experience that has spanned from the U.K. to Canada, in both the public sector and private clinics.

Curtis completed his Bachelors of Science Degree at UBC Okanagan, before departing for Aberdeen, Scotland in 2014 to complete his Physiotherapy Masters degree at Robert Gordon University. He is an Okanagan Sun Football team alumnus and regularly volunteers with highschool football teams providing fieldside trainer support. Curtis was a 2022 nominee for KelownaNow’s Best of Kelowna – Physiotherapist.
