Alberta Association of Physiotherapy

Evan Clark

Bio:

I am originally from the Edmonton area, but I have lived in New York City for the last 7 years. I played NCAA Division 1 lacrosse in New York, while completing my Bachelor of Science degree.  I then earned my 3-year Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Long Island University-Brooklyn. My desire to pursue becoming a physiotherapist was driven by my strong interest in anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, along with the experiences I had rehabilitating my own personal athletic injuries with the help of many physiotherapists.

Having completed my physiotherapy education in New York, I was fortunate to have clinical rotations in a variety of practice settings, including sub-acute rehab, acute care, and outpatient orthopedic areas while treating patients of many different backgrounds and clinical presentations. My treatment style can best be described as active and multifactorial, as I utilize a combination of appropriately-dosed exercise, patient education, manual therapy, and therapeutic modalities. I place strong emphasis on guiding patients to reach their full potential and getting to the root cause of injuries or impairments that slow them down, both athletically and functionally.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy going to the gym, cheering on the Oilers, and spending time with family. I look forward to meeting you and getting you back to what you are most passionate about.
