Kendall Cook
Bio:
I grew up in Cochrane, Alberta and graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s of Science and Major in Kinesiology in 2017. Following this degree I worked for 3 years as a Professional Kinesiologist, expanding my exercise repertoire and building connections within the rehabilitation community. I then decided to pursue my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy through the University of Alberta.
From a young age, I was passionate about living an active and healthy lifestyle, and established a love for competitive sports. I dedicated 15 years to competitive figure skating before quitting to pursue my educational endeavours. Through my commitment to competitive sports I had many first hand experiences working with multidisciplinary treatment teams including physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches, psychologists, and dieticians. This ignited my passion for injury prevention and taught me the importance of proper rehabilitation. Through my own rehabilitation journey, I have learned the value of personalized treatment, and approach my practice with a client-centered focus. I believe that proper education, hands-on therapy, and personally tailored exercises help to bridge the gap between an injury and recovery. I aim to empower my patients to create resilience to future injuries.
