Alberta Association of Physiotherapy

Lynne Dey

Bio:

My experience covers a wide variety of out patient areas including orthopedics, rheumatology, oncology(cancer care), chronic pain conditions, burns, transplants and lymphedema to name a few.  Most of my practice is grounded in orthopedics and that has lead me to become interested and more knowledgeable about joint/muscles problems and injuries (including post fracture and post surgery) throughout the body including the wrist/hand , shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle/foot and spine.  I also have advanced knowledge in chronic pain management.  Since 2019 my practice has extended to oncology ( I work at the Cross Cancer Institute) and helping patients with all cancer diagnosis.  I can help you with management of cancer related lymphedema and non-cancer related lymphedema.

My treatments focus on understanding the patients needs, goals and impairments.  I will provide education to help you understand and manage your condition.  A home program to manage and improve you condition is critical- this will likely include an individualized exercise program that will be monitored and progressed.  Treatment will include manual therapy(hands on techniques)  taping, splinting and electrical/thermal modalities as needed.
