Elani Bykowski

Bio:

Elani completed the MScPT program at the University of Alberta in November 2022 and is  part of the team at Corona Station Physical Therapy. Elani’s journey to becoming a physiotherapist started in her childhood. She always had a passion for sports and growing up she played soccer, competed on the Alberta Junior Elite Triathlon Team, and played on the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns Golf team.

Elani’s training started in her hometown at the University of Lethbridge where she completed a BSc. and MSc. in Neuroscience. Her research focused on the analysis of urinary and blood-derived biomarkers in patients affected by traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. As part of her research, she undertook an internship at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia to conduct a partner study amongst football players with concussion. Since moving to Edmonton to pursue her physiotherapy career, you can find Elani on Edmonton’s running trails, on the golf course, rock climbing, or having coffee with friends.
