Ellen Wedemire
Bio:
Ellen Wedemire is an orthopedic and pelvic health physiotherapist who completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at University of Calgary before completing her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy through the University of Alberta.
Her passion lies in helping people recover from injuries and seeing them get back to doing the activities they love. Ellen’s treatments focus on manual therapy and exercise-based rehab to allow people to not only recover from their current issue but prevent the same and other injuries from happening in the future.
Ellen is also trained in pelvic floor physiotherapy, and has completed many courses including: PT for incontinence, urgency and prolapse, pelvic pain, trauma-informed care, caesarean section rehab, taping for pregnancy, pre and post-natal rehab and exercise, labour and delivery, multiple core specific courses and more! Through a wide range of manual therapy, lifestyle changes, home exercises and ample education, she works to find the best program to reduce symptoms and help people regain control of their lives and bodies. As many people tend to avoid talking about pelvic floor issues in everyday life, Ellen is passionate about providing a space for people to speak about their experiences, and learn about their bodies as they move toward their goals.
